Anybody know the best price on Lapua Russian 220 brass? Should have stocked up...

Thanks

The last time I checked Powder Valley had the lowest price. I bought some last fall and sure glad I did, it has gone up about $130 per thousand since.

not sure on the 220 russian but i bought br brass a couple weeks ago and Brunos was the cheapest, he has good prices on most everything and good service too in my experience. steve

Tony ...

I bought some from Bruno's recently for 66 cents each. 2 cents less per piece than Powder Valley, if you're buying it by the box (100/box). Compare "shipping prices" for the best price. Art

I'm NOT full of B.S.

I ordered last night, added to cart and checked out. 260.38 for 500.
I came home as fast as I could,to get the word out. I joined B.C. today, and my first post is obviously B.S. I'm sorry. I'm usually the one a day late!!!

i get the same thing...440 in clearance, but no reduced price.

maybe they corrected an error.....260 would have been sweet!

Grendel Brass

Has anyone tried using 6.5 Grendel brass in their 6PPC?

Sounds like you got a good deal.

$310 / 500 shipped at Black Hills Shooters Supply but they are a wholesaler and sell to dealers only.

I bought a few boxes from Lester at the IBS Nats. $70/box. He seemed to have plenty.

Seems high since we were paying $45/box two years ago. As the US dollar goes down, import prices go up and that is good.....imports going up!! Just 10 years ago Lapua 220 Russian was $100/box.

I saw the deal of the 100/box last night. I noticed they only had 3 in stock on the "inventory clearance" as I first looked. As I checked back while placing the order these disappeared one at time. I think when they have too many in stock, they just put a certain number of boxes on sale to reduce the inventory to a desired level. Probably a little bit of a bait-and-catch. However, I loaded up on some 70% off or greater items. Got several x-mas presents covered.

Now I understand...

How Harold Broughton Felt:

"I told [Jef Fowler] that I was going home and build another cartridge that would do anything that the PPC would do, be all American, and you could buy brass at any country store in the U.S.A. Well, I did just that. It's called the 240 Coyote #2, and it's made from a 30-30 case." (Benchrest Shooting Primer Page 68)

Chalk up one for Michael Turner!!!

For now I'm stuck with 4 PPC barrels...
