I need the min and Max load for the 210 Berger using H4350 out of a 5c 30" barrel. 1 X 10 twist.

Thanks

63.3 grains of 4350 seated .030 off the lands 2925 fps. Its hot, but it shoots real well at 300 and 600 yards, haven't had the chance to shoot it at Williamsport yet other then initial break in.
Good luck
vinny
PS I'd probably start at 60

Brian,

Start at 61.0 to 63.0grs. Also, it depends on what brass your going to use and what primers. Norma or Winchester? Fed 210 GM or ? Work up .5 grs and you'll find it.

Don't be afraid to try some 208gr. A-Max. Put them .010"-.020" off the lands starting at 61.5grs and work up to 62.5" Norma brass with Fed 210 GM primers.

God Bless, Pierre

In a Broughton Vinny's numbers sound about right. In some other brands of barrel, they'll be slightly less, more like Pierre's numbers. I've seen guns that made pressure at 59, but, I'm pretty sure there were other factors involved, like, a bad lot of powder. It didn't make velocity there either.

On rare occasion, I've seen 4831 used and that also can look promising but as a rule, it's not very consistant, and does not make good 1K Velocities.

FYI, I don't think many guys shoot up around 63+. I may be wrong. I can't go there with Shilen barrels and Norma brass, that's for sure. There's a lot more room inside the case on Winchester brass, so remember that when asking about loads for this case. It would be kind of Vinny to mention what brass he's using.

63 of 4350 in my Norma brass with a 210 is prit tee full. In a SAMMI spec chamber, it would probably fit with no trouble. In winchester brass, it'll have way enough room. I think if 4831 was to work in my gun, it would only be possible with Winchester Brass, or dead calm conditions (cause it's slow).

210 VLD loads

Lots of good info above. With Norma brass H4350 with 62.0 is on the high side of the spectrum. I have this barrel and my best, most consistent loads with Norma brass is in the 61,5 area.
Remember to try ALL the primers and find the right combo after you found the powder seating depth formula.

Sorry, I should have identified the brass. It's Norma and I'm using 210m primers and a Broughton 5c barrel. Hey checkout my new rifle on the GD forum under "How To" Its hot!

Late to the party, as usual....

Berger uses a 26" barrel to get their data.

For H4350 they give a low of 57.0 and a high of 60.0.

I got a bit better accuracy with IMR 7828ssc. Low-61.5 High-64.0

My load with a 28" barrel, Beger 210 VLDs, Norma brass and BR-2 primers was 62.3 grs. @2752fps with an ES of 13fps.

Ymmv.
