hi all. I have a chec 30/06 mauser action .I see a v294 on the action 1244p1,brno,zbrojovka, ceskoslovesaa on the barrel, any you guys know about this ?

The "2" is most likely a "z".
Other than that you have not given us much to go on.

Basically Czech built Mauser 98's. Production was from 1924 -1942. They're considered one of the better fit and finished 98's from that era. Their metallurgy was also quite high. Quality slipped a hair towards the end but that was to be expected. During the war volume trumped all else. We've smithed quite a few to include .416 Taylors and .458 Win Mags. They'll take the pressure assuming they're in good condition and set-up right.

Brno is a large city in the Czech Republic with a history of metal working and firearms dating way back. The other is an address. Beautiful country where everyone drinks beer in place of water!.
