For all those looking to attend the World Championships in Milan this coming July, I have hotel information for you. we have manage to get the Antares Hotel Accademia to stay open for the event. this hotel is 600 metres from the venue and is the closest hotel out of all the hotels, here is a link to the map to show you: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&h...7,9.138737&sspn=0.027012,0.05785&ie=UTF8&z=14

At about US$160 a night for a double room it's not cheap.

What is the situation with gun storage, while we are there? I'm hoping we can save on the car hire if we stay close to the range.

Hi Peter

hotels at this time of year is very hard to come by as everything in Milan closes 31st July or 1st of August. this is the closest hotel to the range the next open hotel is the Enterprise which is a mile away. as to storing rifles, when you checkin at the range you can store your rifle and gear there, that is not problem and you are given a number so that they know were to get you gear from. one peice of advice make arrangements with hotel to pick you up from the airport Linate is the closest one. if you use a taxi driver from outside the airport you will get stung and he might not even be a taxi driver. safer to book from hotel with set price. car hire is very expensive and not worth it if you are only going to shoot.

Just a warning, I’ve been to the website for that hotel twice and both times my virus software has detected Trojan horses.
