Benchrest Trainer

In italy there are competitions in benchrest with Military Trainer in .22lr..only with open signts or diopters..now is it possible to use
automaic rifles but with 4x scope..My question is: I it useful to have the barrell free flowting or better leave as original blocked for bettrer accuracy? I use Erma EM1 Carabine .22rm. Thanks for any suggestion))

No set answer for free float or blocked, each unit responds differently. Also check your rules as altering the rifle may not be legal for your particular competition. Sometimes free float of barrel puts too much stress on the action causing the bolt to bind leading to load and eject issues.
