It is not on the ARA schedule yet, but the Benchrest Rifle Club of St. Louis will have thier first 4 target ARA match Saturday March 28 (tomorrow) starting at 9am. Some one called and talked to Polly and it IS a sanctioned match even though it is not updated on the official ARA schedule yet.

If you want to see thier complete schedule go to thier web site http://www.shootingstl.com/ and pull up thier calendar.

I thought I better put this on here since I don't believe the match director is very active on this forum.

Don't want anyone to miss it.

Fred, I'd rather shoot in drizzling rain than any other time.:)

Kent, How bout 35 degrees, 20 mph winds and blowing rain? I dressed plenty warm but couldn't feel my fingers.

Fred, we had 4 shooters today, the rest had some sense and didn't come out.....I should have been a wimp....took second with a 1750 agg. Roger Pepper won it with actually a decent agg.

We have another match in Owensville MO tomorrow, conditions may be slightly better. Guess I'll do it again...I'm a slow learner.

No Charlie, I'd have rather stayed home if it was 35 degrees and raining with 20mph winds. I was talking about one of those slow drizzles and about 75 degrees, without wind:) I shot a match a couple of years ago when it was 25 degrees, snowing, and 10-15mph gusts. I to extract every fired case with my pocket knife. Like to froze! Wasn't fun at all. That was in April in VA. I've since decided to lay up on days like that and jsut sit by the fire and wait for a better time. "Sposed to be fun you know.
