First 100 yard group with 18" Benchmark .22 barrel on FX Elite single shot rifle. 18.1 gr JSB un-weighed or rolled, 920 fps (probably too high).
Conditions were very good. (Best of three groups).

CTC = 0.75 inches.

51 yards groups with 18.1 gr JSB; wind very light but direction variable; no flags.

Barrel rotation test done earlier :

Thanks Dan. Sorted and batched pellets at lower velocity may do better, but it's a start.
Edit - to acknowledge Chip Smith's work and effort in getting the approx 425 cc titanium air tube to me. It allows for the necessary clearance for the barrel. Thank you again Chip.

Harry.

Harry,

The picture showing the results of your indexing test were very revealing. Obviously, the bore of that barrel is very straight. While I usually index at 30 yards, my results have shown much larger dispersions. Barrels often shoot best when set at the low POI but at your long range tests may show a different preference.

Mike Niksch is also using barrel indexing as part of his method of tuning with spectacular results.
