Hello Shooters,

Ben Avery Shooting Facility has just refinished their Bench Rest Range’s shooting bench surfaces to fill in the many holes that have appeared over the years from shooters pounding the spikes of their rifle rests into the table. Going forward the below rules will be in place for all users of the Bench Rest Range at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility:

“Any rifle rest with spikes or pointed feet are not permitted for use directly on the shooting benches. Rifle rests with spikes or pointed feet must use “pucks” and or other devices that stops the spikes or pointed feet from coming into contact with the bench top surface. Any rifle rest feet that damage the bench top surface are not permitted.”

“Modifications, drilling, or pounding spikes into the bench top surface is strictly prohibited.”

With the Bench Rest Nationals coming up in October, we wanted to let everyone know beforehand.

We look forward to seeing you next week for practice!
