Brandon, thanks for inquiring about the Beggs Ultralite stock.
You asked,
"How is the forend design working out clamping on the Barrel? My concerns are tightening the forend could put enough tension on the barrel to make a tight spot in the bore when slugging the bore."
(A) The forend design of the Ultralite and the way it attaches to the barrel is without a doubt, the best feature of the design. It works great! I assure you, clamping the forend to the barrel causes no distortion to the bore. This also does not affect the way the rifle tunes. The tuner functions exactly as it does on a free-floated barrel.
The stocks are available for only the Stolle Panda, Stiller Viper and Cobra. I suggest you give one a try and see for yourself. There are many advantages to the Ultralite over conventional wood and composite stocks. Why don't you give one a try and see for yourself?
