It is just as important to have your bedding right on a rimfire as it is on a centerfire, and maybe even more so. The principals are the same.

The recoil lug on some rimfires actions is the rear tang. Others have slots in the bottom of the action, and some have recoil lugs just like you see on centerfires.

While some guys glue them most do not which requires properly fitted pillars. Barrels are floated.
