Bedding a scope

Been seriously considering doing this.
I remember reading about it here and there, but don't see a lot of serious rimfire discussion about it.

I found these videos that makes it look pretty easy.

Part 1 rambles a bit. Part 2 is more of the actual bedding.

I can definitely see the benefits on a centerfire, but wonder if rimfire is a little overkill.

Hi Jeff: Having the scope optically centered is VERY important if you want your scope doing its best possible job. Get hold of Tony Boyer's book. He has a section on bedding the scope. I have done it the way Tony describes with much success. bob
