BDL to ADL

What do you call the insert you put in the magazine cut out on a Rem 700BDL to fill the hole so you can bed the action into a stock that does not have the magazine well cut out. I had one I took out of an action and can't find it now that I need it again.
I have looked in catalogs online and cant find what I looking for.

I'm confused. Both rifles have magazine cutouts..... the difference is in the floorplates. (Or lack thereof.)

I guess a single shot adapter is what you're wanting? You can get them from Sinclair International. They are made by Davidson's.
 
I thought there was a piece that you could glue in the cut out in the bottom of the action to fill in the cutout and make the bottom round and solid for bedding and also act as a follower for single shot loading. I had one in a 260AI that was bedded in a stock with no mag cutout. I took it out to install the action in another stock and use the original BDL bottom metal.
I have several single shot followers that you mentioned that I use when we go prairie dog shooting.
Maybe I've drank to much and my brain is fried.
 
Single Shot Adapter

I'm sure that Mike is correct. You want a single shot adapter. Sinclair sells them. The website lists them as a Davidson Loading Ramp. There is another adapter designed to go in the magazine box on top of the feeder for a tempororary single shot conversion, but you want the Glue in type.

single shot

Mike, here is the single shot adapter that you epoxy into the bottom cutout of the action. I think it does stiffen the action a bit and gives more bedding area when the stock has no magazine cutout. Sinclair sells both the short and long action adapters.

As many times as I read that catalog I never read thru the full description of the Davidson ramps. I have several that fit in the mag for single shot loading.
Jumped right out at me after I read the full description.

I am putting my 280AI into a McM F class stock, thats what I need the ramp for. Want a better bag riding stock then the one thats been on it.

At the end of the process, do you want to have a blind magazine like an ADL?

Or a single shot, like a 40X?
