Does anyone know if the remington BDL short action and remington model 7 floor plates are the same length? reason I ask is that I was thinking of fitting a mag extender flap as seen here to a model 7 if it would fit.
No they are not the same. The 700 hinge point is behind the front action screw and the 7 is ahead of the screw. The Model 7 floor plate is quite a bit longer as it covers the screw. There are other differences as well that prevent compatibility.
