I was wondering what the general thought was on the BAT SV actions? I know BAT is one of the best. Whats i idea behind the small SV BAT action? Will this action work on a 600 yard rifle or even an f-class type of rifle, or is it strictly a 6ppc action. I really like the appearance of these little action. Any thoughts? Would this little action be a better action than a Stolle Panda, as far as craftsmanship? Thanks Lee

They're nice single shot short actions in every regard.
Ideal for use up through 6br length cartridges.
Can use remington spec triggers/bases(but use jewell/BAT's).
No need for external recoil lug.
Get the ports and ejection in any configuration(except drop port).

Lee,

I think you know that I reallly like the SV. It's a great little action. It will only handle a cartriage up to the 6.5x47 Lapua case (it will eject it through the small port but barely). A loaded 6.5x47 takes a little more pratice to toss in the loading port than it does on the larger actions. If I was looking at any case bigger than the Lapua, then I would vie for one of the larger actions. Whether panda, grizzly, bat, borden, stiller, etc.

I would add that BAT makes other actions in all sizes.

My LV is a BAT SV and I like it a lot for PPC length cases.
