Bat Carbon Fiber Laminate Stock (Opinions)?

Hi All,

I'm looking for opinions on the Bat Machine Co. Carbon Fiber/Laminate stocks. Likes/Dislikes problems etc. would be helpful. I'm seriously looking a rifle with one of these stock and don't know much about them.

they if manufactured by BAT machine are

1. straight as cut on a cnc

2. track like a dream if gunsmith put it together right

3. will last as not like the larsen finish (and I own 2 larsens)

nice stuff you will like it .


Jefferson (the J in JTR stocks made by robertson composites in Canada who make stocks for most USA shooting disciplines and manufacturers like speedy, stiller, bordon and so on )
 
I dont know a hole lot about these stocks other than BAT isnt making them anymore. From what i have heard, they are of fine quality and made properly. I would say if, you like the rifle then buy it!! Lee
 
BAT has the name of a person making them and I am not sure if BAT is selling them yet or not, send them an e-mail for purchasing a new stock and see what their response is,

the old ones were great by Tom Dixon

skeetlee you are correct, however there is a fellow that is making them similar to BAT pattern and they already got in a couple of stocks to review and helped the fellow discuss some changes, perhaps there will be some new stocks (not made by BAT but with some guidance or at least some input perhaps)
that is all I can say for now, I am seeing them next week and they may indicate where that project or rather that undertaking sits at that time, if instructed to post more I shall,

Thanks for the helpful advice. I made an offer on the gun, I guess we well see what happens from here.

If you want a really great performing (read the equipment lists) and great looking carbon/laminate stock get a Terry Leonard.
 
+2 I have 2 terry Leonard stocks and i love them both. I have a point blank stock and a 600 yard stock made by terry. What a work of art. They also track, oh so true! Lee
