Thinking of building a 10.5 lb 6ppc my question is which of bat actions would be most popular in this wieght class. I am leaning towards S seris .
I would guess the most popular is either a 3 Lug or a model B. More 7.5" than the 6.5" from what I've seen.

Don't overlook the Bat SV action...
I've built quite a few benchrest rifles using the relatively economical Bat SV action. Economical in that it's the least expensive of their line of actions, but just as good a quality as any other of their actions. You can usually get them from Bruno's or Russ Haydon in stock if you want a left port right bolt action. You can get other models of Bat's but are limited to what the suppliers have on hand unless you want to order directly from Bat. The last action that I ordered from Bat came in fairly quickly. I'm still waiting on a A-5 stock from McMillan for that action. They beat McMillan's delivery by several months.
