Bat Action Questions.....

I've had several bat actions all SS.
Now I see a CM Bat action.
How smooth are they compared to the SS actions?

Michael, I've handles both types extensively. I bought a CM three lug because I like CM and I like three lugs; but if slick operation is a criteria, there is very little (if any) noticeable difference that I could tell. For me it's almost just a cosmetic issue, I like a blue receiver.
 
I have one of each and really can't tell the difference. To each his own.

No difference; just preference.

CM is harder!

The action lugs wiil not gall as quickly as a stainless. If i were to change my bat(s) it would be to chrome moly.

you probably can't feel it. but i guarantee you can measure it on Rockwell..

bet if most of you stainless owners look at the action lugs really close (bore scope) . you will see galling. it's easy to do
