I have a few questions about this new Bat action i just bought.
When ever I open the bolt and take it out in the cocked position
should I be able to turn the cocking piece a 1/4 turn with my fingers and
pull the firing pin assembly out without a tool? Never had a nice action like this before just need to be sure there is nothing wrong with it..I have one more question,are you not to shoot a barrel dry and why been doing it for years is this bad for it???
 
Wouldn't it be nice if all bolt actions had this feature, its normal. I like a coating of lock-ease in the barrel after cleaning, but there are many opinions on this subject.
 
Good, got a little upset there for a while.Would hate too have had to sent it back.
