According to my barrel weight calculator program, .29 lbs and .32 lbs. Exhaustive verification by actually weighing scrap barrel cut offs bears this out. Last time this question came up I looked up the specific gravity of steel and calculated it.

So...5 ounces.

It is. It just took me a day or so to realize it. I edited my response to add the last sentence, but I guess it was a moot point.

Since Phil already did the work on another forum (this was a double post):

.326 pounds (5.216 oz)

and

.299 pounds (4.78 oz).

Or, as Jerry said, about 5 ounces . . .
