Barrel Wear AGAIN

Last year (maybe the year before) there was a post where the cause of barrel wear was being discussed. So far with the limited capabilities of the search engine I cant find it or any other threads directly discussing this though this is not the point of this post.
However as I remember the thread got rather heated (even ugly) about the different view points of what the greatest factor of barrel wear actually is.
I noticed an article over on accurate shooter citing, I believe, a Hornady study some years ago concerning moly and barrel wear.
I remember a bomb the military uses that to me seems impossible but works. It uses molten copper to destroy armored vehicles. I saw it on a documentary on I think the military channel some years ago. Here is a link.

Going back to the subject of barrel wear (specifically in the throat) there were 3 basic theories. Those being friction from the bullet, heat, and a combination of bullet and fouling friction.
Despite any other pro's for using moly or the newer HBN has anyone found any evidence that would point to it actually improving barrel life enough to make it worth while using?

Check this one out

My first thought would be this one: "Burning Powder" started by ab_bentley on 3-13-2012. People got into it thats for sure!
