OK i know for a .22LR the .5" hole is plenty of hole to not disturb the bullet. i want to fit a "tuner" to a something with a bit more spice to it. namley a .25/06' now is the increased muzzle pressure as well as larger bullet diameter going to be happy with the .5" hole or should it be bigger? my way of thinking says yes BUT i've not always been right in my life LOL. the reason is i'm building a super long range varmit rifle around this cartridge.

For long range varmint rifles a combination tuner/muzzle break, ala Browning Boss, is best setup. Tunes and reduces felt recoil while bleeding off muzzle gas effects to the bullet.

This will usually be a close fit tuner/break to bullet fit, .030" or less.........Don

while i know the Boss system works to some extent i doubt it has the wieght needed to be truley effective. i have a Fudd bloop tube thats almost heavy enough i think. i'm gonna try that. i just hope the increased recoil of the big round dont suck the tuner off the barrel. anybody else that wants to wieght in is more than welcome.
