ballistic program

im looking to get ballistic program ,who makes the most accurate program that you guys would susjest ,this will be a present for my father-in- law



thanks for any help
 
which one do you guys susgest to get that works i like the free part
 
The functions at the JBM site will do many ballistic calculations, one at a time and like they said, its free.
The best total package is an European originated program called QuickLOAD. It does it all, from 44 Spl wad cutters to 6mm PPC to 458 Win mag. It has an extensive bullet library from about 20 manufacturers and powder library for every powder I've ever heard of including ADI. It comes with a trajectory program that feeds from QuickLOAD. It also calculates pressure, etc. Yo can do calculations on any barrel length. Its the best IMO. It ain't free.

The order on line part of their web site is screwed up now so call the number below. I think this is a one man operation that sells this program in the US but the company that offers and supports it is based in Germany.

kman-there are several out there that are good, useful, and free. I don't knock anyones product, please don't read that. I've just found that Sierra's and my 2 chronographs come close to agreeing. V/R Greg
