What products are prefered to help lube a leather protektor bag? I have been using a dry white graphite product that is slick and clean, but seems to slick.

Baby powder

Be sure and look for the one with talc in it. Some do not have talc. Talc is the slippery part of baby powders.

Bag wax

I just recieved some Sinclair Bag wax that I hoped would be excellent. However it seems gritty rather than slick. Do I need to have the bag conditioned with some other wax to get the powdered bag wax to work?

Try using......

............a used sheet of Bounce fabric softner between your stock and rest. A lot of folks use Bounce when they use their clothes dryers.

Along with ...

stock tape fore and aft, I have had excellent results with pure silicon spray on leather or cordura bags. Some notable shooters (Arnold Jewell is the first one that comes to my mind) line their bags with used fabric softener sheets that are pulled from the clothes dryer. Art

Just be sure

it is the USED sheets. New ones are SMELLY and STICKY!!!!!

On the powder front, Suave Baby Powder antiperspirant works great to. It is a spray Talc.

Bowling shoe "slickem"

Applied sparingly and rubbed "caringly" with your index finger.

Doesn't help to rub it but rather adds a "mystique" to the process that somehow seems necessary.
