Thank you to all the shooters that came out this month for the AZBRS SP-Unl5 Club Match. We had a total of 28 shooters come out, which is a good amount for a club match. This match combined with the October AZBRS LV-HV Club Match to create a 3-gun and 4-gun grand agg.
Practice went well as always, with very little to no wind most of the time and t-shirt and shorts temperatures. A great break from the snow that a few of our snowbirds would be seeing if they hadn’t come on down here for the winter. The weather for this weekend was beautiful, with a little bit of wind to keep it challenging.
Saturday started off with a lot of teen groups, and went into the afternoon with a few screamers. Lester Bruno took smallest group on Saturday, with a 0.074 Unl-5 group. When Sunday came around, we saw several teen groups at 200 yards, which is always nice to see as well. Larry White got the smallest group of the day with a 0.167 Unl-5 group.
For the aggregates, Lester Bruno really came out in full force this weekend with groups that were small enough that they were almost small enough to submit for record. For the Sporter grand agg we had Duke Rovarino in 3rd with a 0.2571, Dan Sutton in 2nd with a 0.2566, and Lester Bruno took the lead with a 0.2191. For the Unlimited grand agg we had Larry white in 3rd place with a 0.1979, Chuck Miller in 2nd with a 0.1957, and Lester Bruno with a convincing lead at 0.1422.
In the 2-Gun grand agg, Gary Ocock took 3rd with a 0.2448, Duke Rovarino took 2nd with a 0.2349, and Lester Bruno came in 1st with quite a lead at 0.1807. Great shooting Lester! For the 3-Gun grand agg, Gary Ocock came in 3rd with a 0.2883, Dan Sutton took 2nd with a 0.2693, and Lester Bruno came out on top with a 0.2630. In the end for the 4-Gun grand agg, Chuck Miller took 3rd with a 0.2729, Dan Sutton came in 2nd with a 0.2651, and Lester Bruno took 1st with a 0.2328.
Thanks again to all of our shooters for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you on December 2-3 for the Unlimited 5-shot Invitational.
