19 Shooters - 16 VFS , 3 Factory
Yes, it was hot in the 90's with surprisingly little wind today. Had a tie for First Place in VFS between Bob Maedgen and Bill Sparks, both shooting a 250-15X. As Bill shot the better Match #1 score, he wins the tiebreaker, braggin rights for the top spot and the grand prize of a tasty, sweet watermelon. 3rd place goes to Larry Kochanowicz with a 250-14X.
Factory Rifle was won by Hal Bogatz and his 245-4X using his 223. 2nd and 3rd Factory was John Price and Ernest Mims, respectively.
Not our typical tough, switchy wind today but the heat was tough enough. Many thanks to the target crew for working in the heat and for getting the daily backers back up at the end of shooting.
Good shooting all! Next months match will be the last Sunday in July, looks like the 31th . Start time is 10 am.
