Austin Rifle Club - Benchrest Match Results for Sept 30, 2018

5 Hunter Rifles

Started out kinda gloomy with light rain but after 2 matches the rain stopped and just a hint of breeze and a pleasant 77 degrees. The Hunter category was won by Curt Gallaher with a 249-18X and his brother John took 2nd with 249-7X. We had a tight race in VFS. 1st place goes to Steve Krause with a 250-21X, my best to date. 2nd place was a tie at 250-20X between Robert Rongero and Tommy Maedgen but Robert wins on early targets. Special shoutout to Tommy on his first 50-5X targets (2 of them) and his best score to date. We will no longer honor his "novice" card.
Even with the early rain we managed to have a good day shootin at the range.
We have a monthly benchrest match that is ALWAYS the LAST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH. Starts at NOON.
