ARC - 100 yd Match for Score
17 Shooters - 12 VFS , 5 Factory
Fairly pleasant today, compared to previous boiling temps, and a good southerly breeze prior to a front moving in later today. That breeze had enough turn-arounds to catch some shooters. Factory rifles were dominated today by Mark Edmunds with his Savage rifle in 308. He claims all five best targets resulting in a first place finish of 250-11X. Norman Luther takes second at 245-6X shooting a 223 Rem and 3rd place was Paul Shanklin and his 308 with a 241-4X.
We had 3 clean shooters in the VFS class. Steve Krause wins first place with a 250-17X. With his first win in the money and his first clean score was Raymond Brown at 250-11X. That deserves a big shout out !! 3rd place in VFS was Charles Moore - also with a clean 250-10X.
Good match today shooters and thanks to the target crew for a superb job.
Next month is a 200 yd match for score. It starts at NOON (our winter start time) on Oct 29. There will be no 100yd matchthen, just the 200.
