ARC - 100 yd Match for Score
20 Shooters - 15 VFS , 5 Factory
Gusty, hot, SE winds to 15 were with us for todays Match. The Factory Class was dominated today by 1st place winner Hal Bogatz. He won 4 Best Targets and posted a winner of 247-10X. 2nd place goes to new shooter, Michael Wilmot with 242-6X and a best target on Match 5. The 3rd place winner was Raymond Brown shooting a 231-2X with a .223 in only his second match. Glad to see these new/younger participants.
In VFS, here's a BIG Shoutout to Phyllis Austin for her first Best Target win! Shooting with us since just last year, her 50-4X was the winner of Match #1 (after winning a tie with Mark Steinhagen). Good Shooting! And gotta acknowledge Larry Kochanowicz's 3-in-a-row, 50-5X targets. He had the high X-count of the day (16) but a crossfire early on dropped his score. 3rd place goes to Robert Rongero at 249-15X. There were only 2 clean shooters today. Bill Sparks and Steve Krause tied for 1st place with their 250-12X scores. The tie breaker was Match #2 which Steve wins by a hair.
We are now in our summer start time of 10 am. Glad to end the match around noon as it was closing in on 94* at the finish line.
Next months' match is on June 26, starts at 10 am. See ya'll then.....weather permitting.
