ARC - 100yd Hunter Benchrest Match
9 Shooters - 7 VFS , 2 Hunter
Stiff north wind in your face from 12-15 mph, with gusts, was minimal fun with the 49-51 degree start temp. Velocity changes got just about everyone....EXCEPT Robert Rongero! He posted the ONLY 250 and managed 12X's. Bob Maedgen dropped a point along the way for a 249-12X and 2nd place. And a new shooter , Larry Neal, takes 3rd place in his first match with a 249-11X. What a start.
John Gallaher took the Hunter prize with a 249-13x. I got 2nd (read that LAST PLACE) shooting my 308 Win Hunter gun, cause my Big scope is in for repair, not used to the recoil, wind in my face, and my excuse list goes on and on. I guess the wind chill factor COULD have been worse.
Pretty challenging today and what good sports to come out and contest a match in adverse conditions.
Next month we shoot on the last Sunday in April, the 28th, starts at noon
