ARC -100 yd Match for Score -- 15 Shooters
Windy Day! Mid 80's with a stiff southerly wind. Still had 5 clean shooters but others struggled....well, I struggled. Only 1 factory class shooter so everyone was in the VFS class today. Had a tie for 1st place again today. Marlon Goates shoots his best target ever, 250-18X, only to lose the tiebreaker to Steve Brown also shooting a 250-18X. So Steve gets 1st place today and Marlon is #2. 3rd place goes to Larry Kochanowicz with a 250-17X. Now, Bill Sparks gets a shout out, shooting 2 50-5X scores and having the highest X-count at 20....but dropped a point on the last target, as did Phylis, still trying for the 250 club. Still good shooting with a wind that was pushing shots to the 9-ring. And a big welcome to new shooter Bill Theobald, no rookie he, getting a 249-12X.
With the wind swirling early this morning , I thought it a day where just shooting a 250 would win it. Was I wrong.... 7 shooters were clean going into the last match with 5 not only keepin it clean....they managed to shoot some respectable X's.
We'll try it again next month on March 26, STARTS AT NOON.
Only one important reminder......Smoking is NOT allowed on the firing line, that means at the bench.
