ARC - 100yd Hunter/VFS Benchrest Match
14 Shooters - 10 VFS , 4 Hunter Rifle
Pleasant shooting today with cloudy skies, temps in lower 60's and a SE breeze at 5-10mph. Lots of 49's shot by the Hunter group with lots of X's mixed in there too. 1st place goes to Curt Gallaher hitting 16X's tacked onto his 247 score. Tommy Maedgen tied his 247 for 2nd place with 7 X's and 2 best target wins. Virgil Howarth also won 2 best target scores to post a 246-11X for 3rd place and a shout out for a 50-4X on his last target.
Top 5 places in VFS shot 250's. Steve Krause shot 250-20X for the top score today including 2 targets of 50-5X. Close in 2nd place was Don Mulhall posting a 250-18X. 3rd place was Robert Rongero at 250-17X with a good shoot after being away a few months. Glad he's back and we welcome new shooter Craig Langseth at his first match here. And lets give a special mention to Jon Aronson shooting his off-the-shelf Savage in 6.5 Creed for a blazing 4th place score of 250-15X. His first 250 and well deserved.
Good shooting all.
See ya'll next month on the 29th of March. We start at noon. All rifles welcome....except for the rail guns.
Thanks to all for an enjoyable contest and the best part is listening to all the laughing going on during target changes. I think they're having a good time.
