Our Christmas Match turned out to be beautiful weather in the 70's, sunny and WINDY. Capacity crowd of 16 shooters although one dropped due to trigger problem. Had 2 new shooters, one in VFS and one in factory rifle.
Virgil Howarth shoots a 250-11X for the high score of the day....and he did it with a Hunter gun. He takes home the Special Santa Substantial cash prize in addition to the aggregate 1st place prize. Congrats to Virg for good shooting in WINDY conditions.
The Factory rifle category was won by Steve Brown with his 246-5X total. Jon Aronson places 2nd with 239-3X. Welcome to new shooter Steve Mouton, shooting a factory 308 in his 1st benchrest match and placing 3rd.
Only one dude shot clean in VFS....Marlon Goates gets 1st place with a 250-10X. 2nd goes to Steve Krause with a 249-15X and 3rd place was Bob Maedgen with a 248-11X.
That ends this years benchrest matches at ARC. We were only able to contest 9 matches this year due to the Covid restrictions. Thanks to everyone's participation and help during the year.
On January 31, our next match, we will be having our award presentations for the highest scores of the year, the coveted ARC Trophy Cups. Hope to see everyone there and get a good start to the new year.
