ARC - 100 yd Match for Score
17 Shooters - 13 VFS , 4 Factory
Christmas 2021 Match
Another North wind in your face match, this time in the 15-20 mph range after the front moved through yesterday. Temp was barely in the 50's at the start with bright sunshine. Match was almost cancelled but fortunately the weatherman was wrong again. The Factory rifle class had 2 223's and 2 6.5 CMoor. Jon Aronson grabbed the 1st spot with a 248-8X. Norman Luther gets 2nd at 241-6X and 3rd place was Dickey Johnson at 241-4X.
The VFS shooters class was won by the lone 250 score. That was Steve Krause with the LOWEST X count of the bunch...only 7 X's. Steve also wins the Christmas Envelope that goes to the best score shot in the match. Charles Moore holds 2nd place with his 249-8X and 3rd place goes to Steve Brown with a 248-14X, the high x-count of the day. Only 4 shooters had double digit X counts. Not the usual for our group but conditions were tough. And I have been remiss in welcoming our newest shooter, Phyllis Austin who has been shooting a 6 PPC with us for a few months. Welcome and glad to see her join us.
Our next match is January 30,2022, starting at noon. We will be giving Trophy Cups to the years highest score in VFS and Hunter Rifle classes.
Thanks to the 17 in attendance today to shoot under some stiff wind.
