A very nice shooting day with a prevailing SE wind that got strong at times. That velocity change got almost everyone. It was a family affair today with the brothers Maedgen posting the only 250's. Bob Maedgen took 1st place with a 250-17X and Tommy anchored 2nd with a 250-9X. Congrats to both but especially Tommy as it was his first 250.
John Gallaher and Robert Rongero tied for third at 249-15X but John wins with first wipeout.

A good way to spend the day.....at the Range!!

Paul is still trying.

Yes, it's the same Paul Faunce that enjoyed shooting with the Michigan gang (plus one quiet Canadian) at WWCCA back in the 90's. I never seem to step up my game and practice to improve like the big boys, but I sure enjoy showing up at local matches to watch, shoot and learn.

Like the Yankees up north, Austin Rifle Club has a great group of shooters. And - down this far South the snow spray never flies into the muzzle at the first shot of match one. But we do have to watch out for cattle and deer grazing behind our wind flags once in a while.
