ARC 100 yd Benchrest Match for Score
24 Shooters - 3 Hunter Rifle , 21 VFS Rifles
Yep, 24 shooters showed up today to compete - biggest crowd since May 2017 when I began as Match Director. Thanks and welcome to the new shooters joining us. After last month's 2 relay nightmare with 20 people, we made 2 temporary frames to accommodate our expanding attendance. More peoples means more prize money which is drawing more shooters too. We'll look closer at a factory rifle category for some new shooters joining us.
Just 3 Hunter rifles out of all those that came. John Gallaher takes the 1st place prize with his 249-13X. Curt Gallaher makes 2nd place at 248-10X while Tommy Maedgen anchored 3rd with a 245-7X.
Good, close competition in the VFS class today. We had 9 out of the 21 VFS shooters clean at 250. A 4-way tie at 250-15X for 6th place. And a FIRST place tie at 250-18X for Bill Sparks and Kelly Novak. Since Bill won Match #1 target by an X, he wins 1st place braggin rights and the cash to go with it. 3rd place was won by Don Mulhall at 250-17X. Good shooting by all.
