We have been notified that any further requests for relay changes in order to share equipment cannot be accepted. Please make plans accordingly.

How strange. Wouldn't it seem pretty logical for folks who find out about equipment problems after this "deadline", say perhaps damaged, lost, or missing equipment occurring during transit (esp those from abroad) to try and make arrangements only once they arrive at the range?

I don't PLAN to share equipment, but should someone need help, I might have been inclined, but for this "deadline" issue.

Not Strange

Not strange at all. Given an event this large, requiring 3 relays and bench rotations, not to mention the possible language barriers.

This is NOT about an effort to punish someone for damaged, lost or missing equipment during transit or otherwise. It is about attempting to make things at the host club run smoother, make a difficult job a bit easier for those volunteers involved and keep things as fair as possible. Trying to ensure politics do not play a role and stopping frivolous attempts at "one upmanship" are what most of us want at an event like this.

Real needs will most likely be dealt with on a case by case basis.
