Are we so cowed that we can no longer mention or write about certain terms that have been "banned" by the Political Correctness Police?

Do we surrender this easily when they come for our guns?

Thank about that too guys and gals!!

Remember the 3 W's.

Yes, unfortunately political correctness has destroyed the fabric that holds our country together. IMHO "common sense" is not so common especially when it comes to discussing the "mainstreaming" of what once was considered unnatural. Facts and truths are always inconvenient for the PC police as well the Left. When confronted with difficult questions they tend to shut down speech either through shouting you out, cutting you off or and the more practiced method, try to destroy your character.
Happy Easter, can we say that?;)
I just thought of something, I wonder if I can shut just delete the difficult questions I get from kids in school?

Vinny tell your kids in school, that being [Politically correct is like trying to pick up a turd from the clean end!] And until they come to arrest me I will say Happy Easter to everyone.

If you recall

I mentioned earlier that Y'all had me over a barrel. A long term taboo on politics went out the window with the recent discussions of the planned infringement of our 2nd amendment rights. We spoke to each other in terms of "It's people like you..." and it seemed necessary for that to happen. Not good - maybe...

Concerning the 2nd amendment - notification, some discussion and even argument is a necessary concession but gay marriage discussion, etc.. goes elsewhere. Additionally, when ANY thread goes "personal", it's outta here as well. Has nothing to do with political correctness. It does, however, have something to do with the pulse of this community and the members at large. We meet here to discuss benchrest and related topics in a friendly atmosphere. That can't happen if politics and religion are present.

OK, so all I have to do is break one of the rules with a response post to a thread that is otherwise legit to get that entire thread deleted?

Would it not be more fair to the OP and all the other respondents to just delete the offending post?

Oh, BTW Happy Easter to the forum and its members.

I had a great time this afternoon hunting the eggs I hid myself!! (I found all but three out of the six I hid.)

Any time that option is available...that's what I'll do. I didn't find any but don't remember If I really hid any. I do know some eggs are missing.

For the record, and as a good faith gesture (in a sense), I'm currently opposed to gay marriage. Just don't seem right anyhow I package it. Alternatively, If I outlive my wife I'll be looking for any method available to file a joint tax return.

Sorry Wilbur if my definition of Politically correct offends you but I'm just saying it can't be done! None of this goofy stuff is right! The politics has everyones shorts in a knot! We should be able to fire then when they don't go by the Constitution. Happy Easter!

I think the cow syndrone happened in the 60's and early 70,s . Thats when the protesters started changeing things in the public school system.
Protesting the american way of life that many of us were tought before the 60;s All kinds of kinky stuff started being tought our young.
Then the newest grab for power in politics, Now some of those very people are prominent in politics today.
Thw agenda is to change history, change lifestyle and do away with the family unit and religion. Teaching an agnostic style of liberalism.
harrasing anyone who doesn't agree and degradeing people to the lowest levels. One comes to mind.
Our secretary of state . MR Kerry went to Viet Nam with Hanoi Jane traveling to an enemy country during a time of War.

I read the Forum all the time, though I don't contribute that often. Over the years I've noticed that Francis is attacked or maligned quite often. These comments seem to make it through the editing process. Are we to read then, that attacks on Mr B, are to be viewed as "politically correct" or to quote you, "It does, however, have something to do with the pulse of this community and the members at large."? Charles

Charles I would have to plead guilty to picking on Francis, HOWEVER I would quantify that by saying I do it because I like and respect Francis and have known him at least here on BRC for almost 10 years now.

Wilbur just in reply to your post, I do agree with you, but just for grins and giggles if they succeed in passing these laws well maybe you can just petition to have your dog listed as your spouse or maybe you can push for multiple spouses....
