I recieved the news the other day and was doing a little crosschecking. Don't put a lot of faith in the numbers that they list. They seem to have rolled up several different states together in the state totals. They list me as shooting in several states that I have never shot in. I know that some Mo shoots are included in the In totals and the Nevada shoots are rolled up into the New York totals. I know it's a lot of data to keep straight and I'm not critisizing...just letting everyone know it's not all correct. Hopefully they will get it straight before hall of fame points are passed out.

don, that is correct i noticed the same thing, a simple mistake and i am sure it all can be corrected.... getting ready for the 2008 season , lets get the 2007 all straight ........hopefully i can shoot some this year and have a better year than 2007 , man did i suck that year........:D

Still waiting on the issue from the Nationals and any issues since then..:(

Got mine today and it is really screwed up on the numbers like Don said. I'm ok with that right now. Just wish everyone can be civil about it until they can reconcile the matter. It is a big undertaking and we all understand that, let's let them have some time to figure out the details and get it right. They do more than we can imagine in compiling and printing this publication.

daletheman, if you are talking outdoor nationals then maybe you didn't renew. I think they go by calendar year on renewal from time of payment. If you are talking indoors, this is your issue. They come somewhat quarterly.

If you look on your address label I believe there is a date on thier that shows your expiration date. It is 12 months from when you pay....not a calander year.

As Carp said, I am sure it is a ton of work putting all of this together and I think Polly has some new help so thier might be some short term bumps in the road but I am sure in the long run things will get more effecient.

I was looking forward to getting mine and had a note in my mailbox saying I needed to pick it up at the post office with postage due.

Yupper am talking about the outdoor nationals... I should be up in may or june I believe.. I have not recieved one since the pre outdoor nationals issue. Oh well...

If you email Polly I am sure she can fix it or confirm you are or are not subscribed.

Maybe your mailman is stealing it and reading them.

Oops, don't mean to offend anyone that works for the post office.

ARA News and the mystery stats

To all,

Yes, as Don so eagerly pointed out, the New York and Indiana stats have a few extra competitors in them. The winners of those states are still the winners.

Darrel Barnes had already contacted me about the problems and I can assure you (as I assured Darrel) that the A/Line and Aggregate Stat/Line are correct. As far as I can tell only New York and Indiana need to be redone and I will have the corrected stats in the next newsletter along with the Hall of Fame information.

It was a simple error that anyone could make. Especially after sitting non-stop at the computer for two weeks.

Mike, I know you paid me for your subscription at the Nationals, but somehow it did not get in the database. I will have the back issues mailed to you.

Contact information for both myself and Macky is included in the newsletter and on the ARA website. If you have concerns regarding ARA please feel free to contact one of us.

Polly thanks for all that you do it is truely apperciated.Jerry

ARA News letter

Polly, you can add my name to the list of people that appreciate the job you do. See you at the Nationals, Slim

Polly,
Kansas needs to be corrected also. I'm pretty sure I didn't shoot in Kansas or Indiana, although according to my wife I have selective memory when it comes to spending money on anything gun related:D.

See you at the Nationals.

I would suggest if anyone finds any discrepancies with the Newsletter (that is alot of data to compile) you email Polly directly with your concerns.

I know no one means for it to appear this way, but we don't want this thread to appear as a public complaint forum...

Most of us don't realize just how much work and preperation goes into each issue and all the data that is involved.

Its kind of like spending months renovating the outside of your house and after it is finished having someone come up and only notice the place you missed.

So Thanks for all you do Polly, everyone really does appreciate it.
(Yeah, I'm sucking up...even though we don't have to send it 2400+ cards, I'm hoping to be able to send in a 2500 this season and it might need all the help it can get if it is close!):D

Polly, Thank you for your help. I did email 3 times before, but did not hear anything... I am thinking that the email did not go thru. Thanks again..

Polly, Indiana needs to be corrected as well , i am pretty sure i did not shoot there....................i think you all have my missiouri scores for Indiana.:D
