ARA Nationals Parking

What are the parking arrangements at the St Louis Benchrest Club, for the ARA Nationals? We had some controversy several years ago, and wonder if anything has changed. Anyone have a contact number so we can get an answer before we register? One of the reasons I ask, is there was a notice on the CF Forum about the rental of Golf carts. The Handicapped and elderly need to know.

I'm sure it will be the same with someone blocking every entrance and exit to the range and spectators blocking the area behind the benches so travel from one end of the range to the other is impossible. Everyone has a plan if they were king for a day but if it were my call there would be no parking or vending tents withen 10 foot of the range roofed area. Moving back 10 foot is not a real burden but makes for about three times the opperating room.

Now about 80 golf carts to move equipment sounds like a great idea. I think I could win something with the video of that.

I like it

Don:
Your suggestion sounds reasonable, that's sure a hell of a lot better that carrying everything to the back forty after each target.

Beau:

Yea... Probably "America's Funniest Video"..:D :D

That would be worse than a 75% off bargin day at Wal-Marts..

Only guessing

But I think no one really cares about the parking arrangements at the ARA Nationals.

Fred,
I agree with Don on this one. How hard would it be to paint off a 10 foot barrier with roped pedestrian entrances and exits so that those cleaning and setting up in the pavillion can get in and out of the covered firing line easier. It is always a pain though to get pert near 60 shooters off the line and pert near 60 shooters on the line between relays in just 10 minutes. I don't know how they are going to do it but if you read on the Competition Only Forum they are trying out flag rotation with folks using identical flags. making the jump on 60 benches moving flags is the worst.

allways problems with parking at the nationals ... This year i plan on taking my parents 42 foot motor home and get there early to park it in between the range and the cleaning shed , pop out the canopy, set out tables and the boiling pot and enjoy my self, along with all my buddies,.We will probably boil 15 dozen crabs if plans go through.... sounds like a great time .... see you all there..:D

There's a thought, we could all do everything in our power to make it difficult for everyone else and when it's get absolutely impossible to move, they'll have to do something:rolleyes:

Don, im not making it hard for everyone else , Just making it real comfortable for me and a bunch of of buddies , hell if you want , you can join us and eat boiled crabs with us too, we should have a great time ,,, come join us......

i hope Fred J don't bring no texas diamond backs fer fryin:eek:

Folks,
Fifteen dozen crabs adds up to about 180 if my math is correct. That would pert near be about 1.2 for every competitor that showed up last year. Heck, I'll eat a boiled crab, maybe not a fried rattlesnake (unless it is cooked right):D

Scotty, I will bet that if you park that big boat in front of the cleaning shed that Scott Piper will drag that junk off with his new track hoe or crawler and put it where it belongs, want to bet? They will have a 10ft buffer line, and remember NO smoking, have a large day, Sweet ol'e lovable Jerr.:D:D:D

Carp, you are right , it is a lot of crabs to boil, you will be able to eat more than just one buddy. You will be able to eat ur fill, cuz not everyone is invited... but you know you are for sure......if Fred brings a rattle snake i sure hope it is dead , cuz one time at his range , dee browns brother caught a 5 foot rattle snake at the range , it was some what pissed,,,, but im sure we can fry him up some kind of way.........see you there buddy......Scotty:D

Limited

Just depends on how many chunks I can get out of each one.

Man, I wish we had snakes that big here in Indiana that were fit for eating. We have them but they are just too distasteful to eat. I'd love to try one. I hope they don't taste like chicken. Do you know where the word "fowl" came from? Snakes need to be eaten, chickens can just lay eggs and keep to themselves.
