I put together a complete upper (DPMS) and put it on my Bushmaster complete lower.Noticed movement between the upper/lower.How can this be tightened or is this not a problem? I can shoot just under 1 mao with several hand loads.

Upper/Lower fit

From Glen Zediker's book " The Competitive AR-15", page 107, quote by Derrick Martin: "I don't place a lot of value on the fit between the upper and the lower. It is a 'shooter feel good' thing. I have never seen them shoot worse for rattle, but the shooters have no confidence in them when they rattle". He goes on to describe different "fixes", and ends the paragraph by saying, " but I defy anyone to show on the target that it makes a difference".

There's a little plastic/synthetic rubber thing called an Accu-Wedge that fits in the rear or the lower that is supposed to tighten up the fit. Brownell's sells them for about $5. The part number is 080-000-663AF. Their url is <www.brownells.com>.

The only problem with a loose fit is that they rattle around, but it doesn't really hurt accuracy.
