7mm X .300

Hello, I have a gun that was my brothers that was made for him in 1977, It was made by a man named Drummond, it is chambered for Weatherby .300 Mag X 7mm, The shoulder forms to a sharp edge.

The builder retired the same year this gun was made. he used to run adds in some of the shooting magazines in the seventies for his rifles.

So my questions are:
What would be the best powder and bullet for a 7mm X wthby .300 mag with a 30" 1 in 9" twist barrel. (as a starting point of course)

And, does anyone have info regarding this builder? or for that matter own one?

His name again was Robert Drummond...

If you've not already done so, you might want to post the question on the centerfire board as well. Somebody over here may know the answer but I suspect the CF guys could tell you quickly.

Im so sorry I thought I was in the CF forum (Im new here), How embarrassing, Yea like I have Weatherby magnum rim fire. lol:D

Being new is not so bad. You can get a lot of information on this site. I would go to the General Discussion forum for this one. The centerfire forum is generally for the ultimate in accuracy. I bet you will get an answer.
