Anschutz Laminated stock going mouldy

I have an Anschutz 2013 BR50 with laminated stock. The laminated stock goes mouldy, and appears to be coming from between the laminations, then spreading. Wiping it away and polishing the stock doesn't appear to help as it becomes mouldy again within 2 weeks. My other rifles in the safe have never have this problem and I keep a moisture absorber in there as well.

Has anyone else had this problems with Anschutz laminated stocks?

Any suggestions on how to fix?

Never had such a problem. Mold requires two things pretty much - moisture and food. The mold is "eating" your stock. I would take the stock off and place it in the oven at 250 for about 30 minutes and see if that helps. Never tried it as I have never had the problem, so you on your own here.

Who made it?

Is it an original Anschutz stock or an after market stock?
If it's an Annie stock I'd be very supprised that they wouldn't want to know about it and if it's
an after market stock I would contact the maker and go from there.
Either way if you purchased it new I'd want a new one!

G’day I was just reading your post I would call the supplies and advise them. A great mould killer is a tea spoon of tea spoon of tea tree oil and one drop of oil of cloves mix together and put on a a soft cloth and rub over surface leave for an hour and rub off like your polishing. You can do the same on leather, the cloves kill the mould and the tea tree oil will kill any foot bacteria like athletes foot ect. For shower tiles a litre of water two drops of oil of cloves and put in spray bottle and spray and leave on. Smells like a dentist room but works
