Anschutz 54 Threading

Would appreciate info on sources to get an Anschutz 54 action single-point threaded & the barrel re-fitted. Any help would be appreciated.

Joe,
As you find out more post the info here please. I did my Annie 64 myself but the 54 has an offset somewhere and I have never handled a 54 action that has had the bbl removed so I dont' know what might be involved in threading the rec. The 64 is all straight, you do it like you true a Rem 700 with a tight fitting arbor and an external ring on the front rec ring for the steady rest.

Butch Hongisto did mine and put a good Broughton barrel on.
I am very pleased with his work, she is shooting very well .

I can only recommand Butch's work .

Gene Davis 2500

Gene shot a 2500 with one he did....if that counts ?? !!!

OK guys. Thanks for the replies. I will check with the recommended sources & let everybody know what I find & did when it's all done. BTW, this is not a rimfire BR rifle, just a Hornet that converting to K-Hornet didn't go too well. I like things done right, so trying to find someone to help me straighten out my boo-boo.

Any of those mentioned

If a smith can turn out a top quality 22RF, he can do the same for CF.

Joe,

I'd be curious as to what your smith says about this project when considering the rear locking lugs. They strike me as a bit small for such a project, but it's more a guess on my part. I have a pair of their hornets, one the 1730 and the other the 1432 single shot. I had considered making the 1730 into a .17 AH, but opted not to because of the bolt lugs.
