Does anybody know when they quit putting whiteline spacers between the buttplate and gripcap. I bought a anschutz 1710 meistergrade today with the best wood I have seen on one of these but it didn't have the whiteline spacers. The diamond on the bottom of the gripcap wasn't there either. Just curious!

I looked at a couple 1710's w/ Monte Carlo stocks yesterday that Carl just got in at Champion Shooters Supply. One had the white spacers and the diamond inlay on the gripcap, but the other did not. I bought the one with the spacers (the wood was better also).
I assume, since they were delivered at the same time, they were made at the same time or at least close, but I could be wrong in that assumption. Maybe a quality control issue?
BTW, the meistergrade you bought yesterday looked impressive, even without the spacers.
