I am posting here as I just bought a older Anschutz 1411 and the gun is in very decent condition for as old as it is. I have never really serviced guns of this type and was wondering what sort of lubrication and cleaning I should do to the gun? I don't have a gunsmith locally and am thinking that the trigger and bolt assembley could probably use cleaning and maybe some sort of lube. The trigger is the 3lb single stage and the gun is quite simple to work on but would like to know if anyone does their own stuff to these guns what I should do to lube it all up and clean it before I use it, all help would be appreaciated thanks.

Contact the good folks at Neal Johnson's 'Gunsmithing, Inc.'

Google will get you there.

I worked for Neal J.

Order yourself some TSI301. This stuff is almost tailor made for rimfires.

It has a very strong capillary action to get between two dissimilar metals. (lead/steel) It's got a high specific gravity so water doesn't get under it and it evaporates to a near dry slick finish and that helps mitigate it turning into a dust magnet like oil does.

As for the lugs/sear surfaces I really like Pro Gold fishing reel grease. It's copper based. kinda like copper anti seize although not quite so intense. A little dab will do ya. If you shoot in cold weather be very conservative with it as it gets quite stiff when its chilly out.

Some Nesika customers years ago found this out the hard way when their guns wouldn't work when in extreme cold environments.

Good luck.
