hi,
can anyone help me out ?
i have a1976 1410d anschutz ,bolt is not curved ,barrel is marked 76x--is this the special barrel and is this rifle rare--seems to be a mix of free and bench.rifle shoots well at 100 yds and is matching #'s on bolt and reciever.
thanks much!

You can also e-mail ANZ direct, and ask them the specifics of your rifle, does take them awhile to answer though. They keep perty good records as to the assembly style and mfg date. There is also a coding in the serial # that indicates mfg date. I do not remember it but if you do a search or ask on Rimfire central someone will help.

Wallunit,

The 1410d is not special or rare though fewer are seen than say 1413 but it has the same barreled action, only a stock difference. The "d" says it has a single stage trigger.
"76" is the year it was made
The "X" following the serial number indicates it was the model change into the 1600 series and does not mean special barrel though many thought that. Here in the U.S. and perhaps elsewhere when this design changed it continued as a 1400 series even though the bolts and triggers were different along with a very minor receiver modification. To keep the models separated for repair or parts the "X" was added to the serial number.
Your "76" with a straight bolt was a transition rifle still using the straight bolt.
