I am going to start my brass prep for this summer. I am going to expand some 25 WSSM up to .264, and some 6 BR up to .257 and back down to 6mm for my dasher FF loads. I have both Imperial Wax and also thier dry neck lube. Do I use the dry on the expantion process and the wax when I neck back down, or visa versa. I can't remember what I did last year with my Dasher.:eek::mad:.

I guess I need to start writing EVERYTHING down to reduce my the chances of being mistaken for Forest Gump/Rainman.

I guess I could call Sinclair, but this is way more FUN!!!:D

Thanks,

Tod

ps. Please limit your responces with words with two syllables or less!!

 Hey Tod, Did your ever figure the pressure issues on your dasher?

Here is another Rainman/Gump moment.......I don't know. We lengnthened the throat a little to give a little longer OAL and I got a new custom die for it. I haven't had any problems with the loads that I did with the new die, but I did see a few psi signs when I tried to shoot some of the old stuff (I hate pulling bullets). When I checked the rounds that I did pull the bullets from....every thing checked out ok. So.....I don't know what was wrong before, so I don't know if we fixed it, God fixed it, or it fixed itself!!!!!

Like my ma ma always says.....Life is like a box of........:D

I also use the wax for everything.
Take the lid off your wax and take the lid off dry neck lube and drop both of them on the floor now which one would you rather work around?
Roger when you come out for the nationals your getting whats left in the dry neck lube tin.

I didn't know about you having any pressure problems with your gun but here is a quick check you can do.Seat one bullet deep into the lands and one 0.025 off the lands and fire them both.If the jumped bullet blanks the primer and the jammed bullet doesn't let us know.

OHH NOOOO!!

Don't tell the reloading manuals!! EVERYbody knows that if you so much as TOUCH those scary lands the pressure's gonna' SPIKE!!

Now you have it right.
The jammed bullet will have less pressure.

Which is EXACTLY the opposite of what all the manuals will tell you. :)

I've been agreeing with you for many years........ In fact me'n Hackett useta' go ROUNDS on this one back in the day...... ;)

LOL

Now if you start backing off 20-50 thou the pressures go down with distance.

If you remember back there was another forum called Xtremeaccuracy.com without the "E" in extreme.Hackett got so mad on that forum he threatened lawsuits on myself and another poster about chronograph accuracy, meplat trimming and freebore. Those were the days!!!!!

My 6BR load is 31.5 grains of Varget hard into the lands and backing the bullet up just a little bit will pop those primers every time.
