Another Benchrest Target

For those who like to dabble in the cutting edge and for those looking ahead, we have posted a 50 yard/meter target on usairriflebenchrest.com.

It is a .pdf file and is designed to be shot at 50 yards/meters. The file can be downloaded and your local printing vendor can produce the target on paper of your choice. The X dot is .03125" and the 10 ring is .250". This will be a humbling experience for those of us that have become accustomed to high scores on the 25 meter target. Higher power air rifles will have better success on this target at 50 yards.

Just a thought and Happy Holidays.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but isn't the 10 ring and "X" the same ring, meaning that they are both 2mm in diameter with the only difference being that to achieve a 10 you only need to touch the outer edge of the ring, yet for an "X" you need to obliterate it entirely?

I must admit, I do like the idea of a .250" 10 ring in some ways, especially when shooting at 50 Y/M.

Happy New Year,

Dave

This is a different target and is meant for 50 yard/meter shooting. The 10 ring is .250". The Xs are scored if the shot only touches the .0312" dot. For those that believe the 25 yard/meter target is simply too easy, this target will provide some interesting entertainment.

Isn't the ring spacing of the 25m target metric based? I will have to guess that this target will be much more difficult and scores will reflect this.

I stand corrected! I had opened the wrong file so was looking at the 25Y/M target all over again. Now I can say: nice looking target, and yes, that will be one heck of a challenging target out at 50Y.

It's downloaded onto my Desktop and will be brought to the printers the next time I get some more of the 25M targets printed.

Sorry 'bout that, and thanks.

Dave
