Air Rifle ShootN' Mostly.... I have the above rifle. Used to win some small bore prone matches with rifle once in a while. I am guessing that the rifle is over 25 years old. I am too old to remember when I bought it.

With a light weight custom stock would this old timer be able to make weight and have a chance of decent scores in Rim Fire competition.

I have had some offers to buy the action without the barrel and wonder why not the barrel.

Thanks

Bob it would be a start, you would best weigh the barreled action with scope and rings to see what room you have for stock weight. Annie barrels do not always take well to shortening up, you would need to slug it to see if its tight (they are choked at the muzzel and kinda loose behind that mostly, should you decide to shorten it for weight savings.) You could float it for best offer over on pilkingtons site ( Target Talk). which might be the better route then get one off the list here. All depends on how far/deep you want to get into rimfire. If ya want to play with the big boys it isn't going to make it. on local scale might be ok. As I really haven't looked to see what annies are bringing at present I can't advise there. Don Stith can get you into a stock likely under 3 pounds, check his site out, it is listed here on the home page. Chris

If you shoot this rifle in ARA, American Rimfire Association, or PSL, Professional Shooting League, or IR 50/50 Unlimited you will not have to worry about it making any kind of weight limit. Run what you brung sort of rules. Check out the rimfire portion of this site and check out the links to the above associations. Best of luck.
