Hi all just got my 10/22 yesterday the one with the rubber over mould stock and 18" fluted stainless barrel, took it down the range today to see how it did and I was quiet happy with the results I used standard cci, geko, mini mag and 10 rws I had and the best group I managed at 50metres was .419" and the average group was in the .5" area I was happy with that and the best bit is it cycled all the rounds with no hang ups or fail to ejects, even with a green dot sight I managed .649" at the same range so it looks like I have a good one.
So how do you guys think my 10/22 did? I know its nt going to be in the same class as an out and out target rifle but I think it did ok :) what ammo would you recommend to try?

Rick

Rick, I think you did wonderfully !
I only wish my bolt action did as well as your 10-22.
Keep up the good work and keep practicing.
As far as ammo? I think you already have it all covered, its all what your rifle likes.

Thanks :) it did a lot better than I expected that's for sure :D my 10/22 target I had didn't do as good as this one so the Midway barrel I have must be a good one  im going to get some hollow point subsonic's to try soon and il post results here again :)

Rick

Rick, you might want to try and find some regular round nose bullets instead of the hollow points if your wanting to be as accurate as you can.
The hollow points can get dinged up creating some weird flight paths.
Wolf, SK and Lapua make some nice match grade ammo that might work well for you. Just buy in small quantities and keep track of your targets and see what works best for your rifle.
Hope this helps.
